Honda's sixth-generation CR-V continues to be a top competitor in the compact SUV landscape. The 2025 Honda CR-V's are all powered by a turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine. This unit produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque and is EPA-rated at 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway on front-wheel-drive models. These figures for both engine options are only reduced by 1 mpg in the all-wheel-drive models. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable transmission. Like much of Honda's lineup, the CR-V is offered in three trims: LX, EX, EX-L. EX models ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and feature LED exterior lights and a tailgate spoiler. Standard features include automatic air conditioning, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, a 4-speaker audio system with Pandora compatibility, 7-inch touchscreen and premium cloth seating, with a one-motion 60/40 split "dive-down" rear seat. EX-L trims add keyless entry with push-button start, automatic headlights with auto high beam and integrated turn signals in the mirrors. Inside, there can be found heated front seats with an 8-way powered driver's seat, an eight-speaker audio system with a 9-inch color display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, 2 USB ports, a power moonroof and dual-zone automatic air conditioning. The Hybrid CR-V is powered by a 2L four-cylinder engine that produces 145 horsepower combined with an electric motor that increases the horsepower to a total of 204. The Hybrid CR-V is available in four trims Sport, Sport-L, Sport Touring and Sport w/o BSI. The Sport trim features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, a 6-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen, 4 USB ports, and a leather wrapped steering wheel. The Sport Touring adds a hands-free power liftgate, 19-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, leather seats, driver seat memory, ambient interior lighting, satellite radio, a 12-speaker sound system, a 9-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, Wi-Fi-hotspot, and wireless device charging. Standard safety technology includes active lane departure, forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system. The EX, EX-L and Hybrid Sport Touring trims add blind spot warning and rear collision mitigation. The EX-L and Hybrid Sport Touring trims also feature front and rear parking sensors.
